| Deepam Chatterjee
Born in 1968, Deepam is an ex-army officer. He served at Siachen Glacier, the highest and coldest battlefield on earth, where he suffered spinal damage and paralysis. His soldier’s pride didn’t allow him to continue serving as a ‘passenger’ and not a leader in the Armed Forces, and he resigned. Eventually, Deepam self-trained in yoga and cured himself. He then worked as a documentary filmmaker.
These varied experiences led Deepam to search for meaning in his life. Wasn’t there more to life than money, power, fame, etc.?
Eventually, he chose to serve and guide people in finding personal peace. He spent time with various saints and spiritual teachers. Soon, he met and trained under Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. For a while he taught The Art of Living Courses, before once again embarking on a journey of self exploration.
Presently, Deepam conducts Satsang and workshops on ‘Healthy Mind-Body-Spirit’, and writes on Hinduism, Mythology and Spirituality. |
